Our 10 day Athens and Cyclades Caress itinerary affords plenty of time to make all connections and arrive in Athens when schedule permits knowing that a central Athens 2-3 star superior hotel accommodation is ready and waiting for you.
The following morning, the minimum time in Athens required to visit the must see Acropolis and Parthenon is spent. Those bare minimum of Athens most famous sites seen, and souvenirs priced, at 3:30 in the afternoon of your second day in Greece you'll board your first high speed catamaran to the Greek islands.
An interesting 2 hour Greek islands ferry boat voyage to Syros, with a short stop likely, at other Cyclades island on the way, and where you'll still have hours of the hot Greek sun left to check into your hotel and get your bearings. Syros's main town Hermopolis (near left), is capitol of the Cyclades and has a lot to offer in the way of walks and great views, with its many historic buildings and winding market streets. A larger island and one where I have personally spent a lot of time your short stay in Syros may only whet your appetite for a return journey and longer stay. Galissa (far left) with its large, safe, shallow, rock free, family beach is just one of the many fine beaches to go to on Syros. Be sure to have an Irish coffee in the "Baroque Bar" and tell Michali the barkeep, Harry sent you! His Mom is a good cook too! Next day in the afternoon you'll be on your way to famous Mykonos and Delos.
Mykonos is one of the most famous islands in the world and the 3 nights we have planned for you there will make you want to come back for more. On Mykonos, fun is to be had for people of all ages and inclinations including some of the best jewelry and handicrafts shopping anywhere in the world. While in Mykonos a visit to near by Delos is highly recommended!
Ancient Delos, birth place of Apollo and Artemis, is just a wonderful boat ride away and you wont want to miss the guided tour of this, the ancient center of the Cyclades.
Getting there in a smaller Kiaki type boat will be one of the highlights of your visit to the Greek Islands too. (pics: Mykonos left, Delos right)
On day 6 you'll journey to Paros (right) (1 hr) where you'll spend two nights on an island with a really fun bar scene and with people from all over the world. On day 8, in the afternoon, you'll sail off to Santorini (5 hrs) where you will enjoy a one of Greece's natural wonders and one of the top 3 most popular islands in the world.
I mention Santorini in depth elsewhere in Harry's Greece Travel Guide but for now I'll point out that this island, and this island alone, is the only place where a caldera view (cliff / crater view) room, or hotel is available and staying in one will make your vacation totally different from the folks who dont know what they are missing! Its worth the extra money and will be the high point of your trip to Greece (no pun intended)! These accommodations afford a good place to 'pop the question too' if its romance you are after! You can opt for caldera views in the heart of town or quiet reflective ones a bit further out with or without pool.. just let us know!
Your itinerary can include island hopping with one, two or as many islands as you like options or substitutions. Or include nights in Athens which you may extend or cancel.

Cycladic Caress: Athens - Syros - Mykonos - Delos - Paros - Santorini - Athens for 9 Nights & 10 Days
- Day 1: Arrive in Athens and our driver will take you to your hotel. Overnight
- Day: 2: Athens sightseeing tour including the Acropolis After the tour our driver will take you to the port to take the boat to Syros. Arrive in Syros and transfer to your hotel.
- Day 2 and 3 in Syros – 2 overnights
- Day 4: transfer to the port to take the boat to Mykonos Arrive in Mykonos and transfer to your hotel.
- Day 4 and 5 in Mykonos( 2 overnights)
- Day 5 – Delos half day tour( Delos does not operate on Mondays) – our driver will take you to the port for the tour. After the tour you will have time to explore the town and have lunch and make your own way to the hotel
- Day 6: Transfer to the port for your trip to Paros. Arrive in Paros and transfer to your hotel
- Day 6 & 7 at Paros( 2 overnights)
- Day 8: Transfer to the port for your journey to Santorini. Arrive in Santorini and transfer to your hotel.
- Day 8 and 9 Santorini( 2 overnights)
- Day 10: Transfer to the airport to take the flight back to Athens on order to connect with your flight back home.
- Remarks: We can arrange this package from budget to deluxe class hotels according to each person’s budget. We offer transfers so you don’t loose time waiting in Queues and wasting your precious time. If you wish, we can arrange a rent-a-car in both islands so you can explore the islands at your own pace. We will issue the boat tickets and along with the vouchers we will deliver at your hotel in Athens along with a detailed itinerary so you will have everything ready from the time you arrive in Athens. You will be well looked after in Greece and will have assistance if you need any help at all while you are here.
Notes: Boat time-tables can and do change frequently - you will be advised accordingly in plenty of time. In case of departure before 10.00 on the day of departure from Athens to your home country - we will arrange the evening flight on day 09 to Athens from Santorini and reserve a room at the airport hotel - there will be a surcharge for the 5 star deluxe hotel.
Dear All: First of all thanks for your prompt reply. I find your quotation very reasonable, so I´m positive we will use your services. However I would like to ask you to quote me the same tour with four star hotels also. If the difference is not to big, we would probably use those ones. All I´m waiting for is your information in order to make our decision. If you send me the new quotation I will book the tour by Monday.
