Unsolicited 2008 - Dear All: We are back after a wonderful trip on the Greek islands.
Everything went well and according to schedule. The hotels we stayed at were great, the transfers were always on time etc.
But the greatest thing about the whole trip was the people.
Greeks are one of the kindest people we've ever met. We want to thank you for a wonderful vacation, and be sure we will recommend your services to anybody who plans a trip to Greece. My wife and I are planning to go back next year, with our three sons but probably in the month of September.

Please convey my thanks to your colleagues in Mykonos and in Santorini. You chose the right hotels in all three places- they were well located and close to Metro and /or bus stops. This was very important for us oldies. The hotels were comfortable and the staff was friendly.

David is a terrific writer and a heck of a lot of fun to read. In fact he writes ten times better than I do which doesn't begin to do him justice. When he was here in Greece last year he gave me a copy of his previous debut book Dark Gold.
I was wicked impressed and happily surprised by it and I read a book a week! Cussler, Rollins, Dale Brown, Preston & Child, Demille, McNAB, Leather and more! In fact I blow so much money on books that Eleftheroudakis Bookstore (Athens Greece's premier foreign language book store at 17 Panepistimiou St. and the Eleftherious Venizelous Airport (ATH) have awarded me honored status and a discount too! So when I tell you David can write you better believe me!!
As a friend of the site David gave me Dark Gold when he was here in Greece last year doing research for Night of the Furies which just came out and is set on the Greek islands
Above on the book jacket: is a Cape Sounion sunset and its one of the main classical Greek attractions of the Athens/Attica area. Just so you know, its also one of the top ten classical sites in all of Greece and consequently we offer 2 kinds of tours which visit Cape Sounion all year, with and without lunch. But don't try carving your name in the marble columns like Lord Byron, another literary luminary did!
David, bless him, is also an excellent photographer too or has photo shop down like I never could or both. On line He has an impressive gallery of hand picked Grecian theme images including Dionysian, Eleusinian, Delphic and many more, all in excellent taste! I think you will enjoy them I know I did. 
In fact here is a picture from the gallery used as an example.
Reason being, this image is something you don't see everyday and a depiction of the Oracle of Delphi (yes another mandatory top ten tour) who was originally supposed to be a python snake but it was obviously easier to hire local damsels who became "the Pythoness". Its a long story but their job description included breathing sulphuric fumes emanating from the near by fissure and telling the future and stuff! If you look at the picture you can see what I mean! See the fissure? See the fumes? Cool! They should bottle that stuff and sell it as a souvenir!
The Oracle's predictions/interpretations altered the course of history more than once and If one were contemplating a momentous decision and could afford it you definitely wanted to consult the oracle of Delphi first!

I also have to mention Colleen McCullough, another of my favorite authors and an old friend of Greece. Her latest book Anthony & Cleopatra is well worth a read. Her earlier Song of Troy book is truly a work of inspiration inspired by Greek myth, the ancient kind that is! Read it!
You can learn more about the ancient world and Historic Greece in one chapter of Colleens delightful books than in several tomes of dry history. Colleen makes it come alive and is up there with Mary Renault if not even higher.
